• Crafting a Great Opening Scene: Students will learn how to write a compelling opening scene that captures the audience’s attention right from the start. They will also begin developing their own opening scenes during this session.

• Character Creation: This segment focuses on creating intriguing characters, understanding their motivations, exploring different character archetypes, writing authentic dialogue, and developing backstories that bring characters to life.

• Shot Framing: An in-depth exploration of the meanings behind various shot choices and the importance of making deliberate decisions for each shot in storytelling.

• Set Design: Students will delve into the critical role of set design, particularly for indie filmmakers, and how it can significantly impact the success of a film.

ZOOM Support Session (Date and Time TBC):
Between Sessions 1 and 2, we will hold a one-hour Zoom call to review and refine the scripts that have been written, answer any questions from the previous workshop, and provide further guidance.
