This April we will be holding our first ever Easter Workshop! Give your child something to look forward to this Easter with our 3 day drama workshop.
Easter Workshop for 6-10 year olds - Character Creation
Our Easter Workshop for 6-10 year olds will focus on creating a character and bringing them to life in a scene. The 3 day workshop will include:

Character Creation - creating and developing character from scratch, then bringing them to life

Improvisation - acting on the spot, creating new characters and scenarios, being in the moment and reacting

Drama Games - all the favourites including; disasters, the bus game, house party, why are you late and much more

Prop Making - designing and creating your character prop

Script Work - becoming your character in a scene, preparing for performance
At the end of the workshop, students will perform as their characters in a recorded "Character Interview" and rehearsed scene. Students will be emailed a link to their work for them to keep.
Easter Workshop for 11-18 year olds - Stage Combat
Our Easter Workshop for 11-18 year olds will focus on stage combat and character relationship development.
The 3 day workshop will include:

Stage Combat - discovering unarmed combat and how to safely and realistically use combat in a performance

Character Development - creating a backstory for your character, finding empathy with your character

Relationship Development - creating and developing a character history with your scene partner, building a foundation for character relationships.

Drama Games - all the favourites including; disasters, the bus game, house party, why are you late and much more

Script Work - bringing your character to life in a scene, understanding your character's objectives and discovering their inner monologue

Rehearsal - integrating combat into a developed scene, preparing for performance
At the end of the workshop, students will perform as their characters in a rehearsed and choreographed fight scene. The scenes will be recorded and students will be emailed a link to their work for them to keep.
