Commitment to Learning Lines:
By participating in these workshops, students recognise that learning lines is a fundamental aspect of the craft of acting.
To uphold the highest standards of professionalism and respect for their peers, students commit to the following principles:
Preparation and Diligence: Students will dedicate the necessary time and effort to thoroughly learn their lines, ensuring they are fully prepared for rehearsals, performances, and filming. This includes practising regularly and seeking assistance if difficulties arise.
Respect for Time: Students acknowledge the collective time and effort invested by their fellow cast and crew members. By learning their lines promptly, they contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of rehearsals, demonstrating respect for everyone’s commitment.
Continuous Improvement: Students strive for continuous improvement by seeking feedback and utilising various methods to enhance their line memorisation skills.
Accountability: Students hold themselves accountable for their progress. If unforeseen circumstances hinder their ability to learn their lines, they will proactively communicate with their leader to seek solutions and stay on track.
Supportive Environment: Students commit to creating a supportive and encouraging environment where everyone feels empowered to excel. They offer help and encouragement to peers who may struggle, knowing that collective success relies on each member’s dedication.
Support for Younger Actors: For younger actors, parents commit to assisting their children with learning lines and providing support throughout the rehearsal process. This involvement helps ensure that younger students can fully engage with their roles and benefit from their experience.
